Vikram Sinai Talaulikar: Calling for Change on the World Menopause and Cancer Awareness Day
Vikram Sinai Talaulikar, Specialist in Reproductive Endocrinology at The LUNA Clinic, shared on LinkedIn:
“This year, we are calling for change on World Menopause and Cancer Awareness Day.
Menopause and Cancer CIC (not-for-profit) is continuing the mission to ensure:
Menopause support must be embedded into pre-cancer treatment discussions and long-term cancer care planning.
Everyone deserves to understand the potential impact of treatment on their hormonal health and quality of life before treatment begins, and to receive ongoing support afterwards.
Improved training for healthcare professionals.
Healthcare teams need the knowledge, confidence and resources to recognise, discuss and manage treatment-induced menopause effectively.
Better access to therapies and specialist care.
Everyone living with and beyond cancer should have access to safe, effective menopause support, treatments and specialist services when they need them.”
