René Pareja Steps Into the Role of IJGC Editor-in-Chief – ESGO

“This past weekend, René Pareja stepped into the role of IJGC Editor-in-Chief!
The IJGC is the official journal of both the European Society of Gynaecological Oncology (ESGO) and the IGCS.
The handover took place in the presence of Nadeem Abu-Rustum, President of the IGCS, Greta Dreyer, Past-President of the IGCS, and Jalid Sehouli, President of ESGO during IGCS 2026 in Montreal, Canada.
Prof. Sehouli said:
‘This transition stands for continuity and renewal. I thank outgoing EiC Pedro Ramirez for his leadership and his dedication to the journal, and I congratulate René Pareja and wish him every success.
The International Journal of Gynecological Cancer is our global commitment to improving the outcomes of women with gynecological malignancies worldwide.
Together, ESGO and IGCS stand for international collaboration in the service of science and patient care.'”
