“This review aims to help refine fertility preservation indications – a growing concern in the oncofertility field – with an overview of the impact of cancer and its treatment on female fertility, including the latest updates on novel therapies.
Authors Alice POITRINAL, Mélanie FIOT, Léa Dupont, GREMEAU Anne-Sophie, Pr Florence Brugnon, Laure Chaput, and Gaëlle Marteil also provide a comprehensive summary of the different procedures used for OTC, with the aim of standardizing protocols in clinical practice, along with an updated overview of alternative, albeit experimental, approaches that are being developed to restore fertility and overcome the limitations of transplantation.
Overall, this review will benefit both clinicians and scientists by clarifying current strategies and highlighting next-generation solutions for preserving and restoring the fertility of young female patients.
As with all RBMO Review articles this article is free to read, and can be accessed ahead of press from issue 52.6 now.”
