How Teamwork Reduced Maternal and Newborn Deaths? – FIGO
FIGO (International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics) shared a post on LinkedIn:
“When leadership is shared, lives are saved.
At a Level 5 hospital in Kenya’s Mount Kenya Region, the FIGO LDI:REACH project, implemented in partnership with Kenya Obstetrical and Gynaecological Society, has helped strengthen leadership, teamwork and evidence-based maternity care.
By empowering every member of the maternity team to act early and deliver bundled care without unnecessary delays, the hospital has sustained zero maternal deaths from postpartum haemorrhage and gone nearly a year without a case of perinatal asphyxia.
