Sandro Esteves: Male Infertility Work-Up, Are We Doing Enough or Too Little?
Sandro Esteves, Collaborating Professor at State University of Campinas, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Male Infertility in Focus: Reflections from a Norway Speaker Tour
A very rewarding speaker tour across Norway — with stops in Tromsø, Bergen, and Oslo — and many great interactions along the way.
Across all locations, we focused on two key, highly relevant questions: ‘Male Infertility Work-Up: Are we doing enough or too little?’ and ‘Does treating the male partner improve ART outcomes?’, both of which generated thoughtful discussion and strong engagement.
In Tromsø, my sincere thanks to Mona Nystad and the entire IVF team at UNN Tromsø for the warm welcome and excellent discussions.
In Bergen, it was a pleasure to visit Haukeland University Hospital — many thanks to the whole team, especially Dr. Rajkumar and Hemamaalini.
Back in Oslo, we had a fantastic evening meeting bringing together IVF specialists from 8 centers, with around 50 participants. The level of engagement and quality of discussion were truly outstanding. Special thanks to the IVF teams at CMedical and Klinikk Hausken, and to everyone who joined.
I also had the pleasure of sharing this tour with Prof. Peter Humaidan — a dear friend and long-time collaborator — which made the experience even more enjoyable and scientifically enriching.
A special note of appreciation to Merck Norway for their support, and particularly to Geir-André Seldofsen, whose organization, professionalism, and ability to engage local teams were truly exceptional — among the best I’ve experienced in years of international academic activities. Many thanks as well to Taher Hassen and Siri Boro for their support throughout.
Grateful for the opportunity to exchange ideas, challenge current practice, and keep pushing the field forward.”
