Szabó Gábor: Ultrasound vs MRI for Preoperative Detection of Endometriosis
Szabó Gábor, Obstetrician and Gynecologist at Semmelweis University, shared a post on LinkedIn by ISUOG (International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology), adding:
“Both imaging modalities are effective for diagnosing deep and ovarian endometriosis.
Ultrasound has a higher specificity for pelvic adhesions.
Enzian classification was an excellent tool for the comparison.”
Quoting ISUOG’s post about a recent paper Szabó Gábor has co-authored with colleagues published in Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology:
“Pete et al. perform a head-to-head comparison of the diagnostic performance of ultrasonography vs magnetic resonance imaging for the preoperative detection of endometriosis using the Enzian classification system in September UOGJournal.”
