Ting Yuan: Using Endometrial Immune Profiling in Young IVF Patients

Ting Yuan, Co-Founder and Clinical Director at Zhaoxi Fertility Center Malaysia, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Most IVF conversations focus on embryo quality.
But in practice, I see something different.
When embryos are borderline,
the uterus often becomes the deciding factor.
A recent paper on endometrial immune profiling reinforced this idea.
But clinically, I think of it more simply:

Seed = embryo

Soil = uterine environment

A strong seed may compensate.
But when it’s borderline,
the ‘soil’ often determines the outcome.
This is why I rarely think of IVF as starting with stimulation.
It starts much earlier ,with preparation.

‘Seed determines potential.
Soil amplifies outcome.

I’m curious how others approach this balance in practice.
