Veloshnee Govender: Bridging Gaps in Sexual and Reproductive Health Through Digital Innovation
Veloshnee Govender, Scientist in Department of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Research at WHO, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“What if accessing essential sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services didn’t depend on where you live, who you are, or whether a provider is nearby?
This is the promise and the challenge of digital health.
We’re really looking forward to hosting an upcoming webinar where we’ll explore how digital tools, from telehealth to AI are helping to bridge persistent gaps in access to SRH services. While progress has been made, barriers like stigma, cost, limited providers, and weak health systems continue to leave too many people behind.
In this session, we’ll hear from colleagues working on the ground and at global level about what’s working, what’s not, and what it will take to scale impact within Universal Health Coverage (UHC). If this resonates with your work or interests, we’d be delighted if you joined us.
Date: 15 April | 8 AM EST / 2 PM CEST-SAST
Interpretation available in French and Spanish”
Tigest Tamrat, Scientist at World Health Organization, shared Veloshnee Govender’s post, adding:
“Looking forward to learning from grounded experiences in what works (and doesn’t) in advancing access to SRH services through digital and AI.
