Can Oral Dydrogesterone Improve Outcomes in Natural-Cycle FET? – RBMO
Reproductive BioMedicine Online (RBMO) shared a post on LinkedIn:
“The findings of this new study from Caroline Roelens and colleagues suggest that the potentially deleterious impact from low serum progesterone on the day of blastocyst transfer in NC-FET cycles may be avoided when oral dydrogesterone is administered. This supports a personalized approach to luteal phase support in true and modified natural cycles.
The authors say:
‘The present results suggest that oral dydrogesterone supplementation may be associated with comparable pregnancy outcomes in true and modified NC-FET and modified NC-FET cycles when serum progesterone concentrations are suboptimal on the day of blastocyst transfer. In contrast, the empirical addition of LPS in patients with adequate progesterone concentrations does not appear to be associated with additional benefit.’
