The Fear Around IVF and Cancer Has Never Matched the Data – Fertility Plus
Fertility Plus shared a post on LinkedIn:
” **IVF Does NOT Cause Cancer**
For two decades, the biggest worry for women considering IVF has been: ‘Will this give me cancer?’ The answer is clear from 20 years of data on over 100,000 women!
Key Findings:
- **Invasive breast cancer:** No increase at all (not after 1 cycle, not after 6!)
- **Invasive ovarian cancer:** No increase, even in women who did 7+ cycles.
- **Borderline ovarian tumors:** Slightly higher rate, but these are low-grade, slow-growing, and almost always cured with surgery alone—no chemo needed!
The overwhelming evidence shows that the fear around IVF and cancer has never matched the data. It’s time to let go of that worry!
