Partha Basu: Colposcopy Performance in Triage of HPV-Positive Women
Partha Basu, Associate Professor and Head Of Gynecologic Oncology Department at Chittaranjan National Cancer Institute, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Our new publication on the performance of colposcopy to triage HPV positive women. The pooled sensitivity for CIN2+ and CIN3+ using colposcopy (low-grade colposcopic impression) were 84.4% (95% CI: 79.0%–88.6%) and 86.9% (95% CI: 81.7–90.8%), respectively. The pooled specificity for < CIN2 was 64.3% (95% CI: 57.4%–70.7%). Will this set the benchmark for the AI tools being developed for triaging the HPV positive women, including the one by IARC – International Agency for Research on Cancer / World Health Organization? Thanks Marc Arbyn for taking the lead.”
