Horace Roman: 10-Year Outcomes Following Surgery for Colorectal Endometriosis Accepted by AJOG
Horace Roman, Honorary Professor of Endometriosis Surgery at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of Aarhus University, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Wonderful news received from the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology (AJOG), which has definitively accepted our study on 10-year outcomes following surgery for advanced colorectal endometriosis.
Our manuscript presents 10-year outcomes of patients enrolled in the ENDORE randomized trial. We believe that our study brings new and valid information on the long-term outcomes and postoperative pregnancy rate of surgical management of rectal endometriosis. As the patients were allocated by randomization to conservative or radical rectal surgery, and the 10-year follow-up was accomplished in 91% of patients, we believe that our results may be of interest for colleagues who manage young women with rectal endometriosis.”
