“Recreational drug use during pregnancy is one of the most challenging conversations we have in antenatal care — but it may also be one of the most important.
Cannabis, cocaine, and other substances can cross the placenta and affect fetal growth, neurological development, and long-term outcomes. Many women aren’t aware of the full extent of these risks.
