Amelia Baweja: Fertility Is Becoming an Asset to Protect
Amelia Baweja, Co-Founder, Head of Product and Science at SYNC Health, shared on LinkedIn:
“Women are writing fertility into their prenups now.
That line from Maggie Sellers Reum, Hot Smart Rich conversation with Natalie Crawford, stopped me. Not because it’s shocking, but because it’s rational. Infertility is rising, and the population is finally treating fertility the way it should have been treated all along: as an asset to protect, not a problem to solve after the fact.
That shows up everywhere in the episode. Egg and sperm freezing as a hedge, not a last resort. Fertility framed as an investment decision, made years before anyone’s trying to conceive. And ‘Trimester 0’ the idea that the months before pregnancy matter as much as the nine after, going from niche clinical concept to mainstream vocabulary in real time.
This is exactly the thesis we’re building on at SYNC: health isn’t a single intervention, it’s a protocol that adapts with you, and the longer you track, the smarter it gets. Fertility might be the clearest example yet of a market ready for that model.
Where do you think the next wave of fertility innovation shows up first: the tech, the ingestibles, or the patient journey itself?”
