Understanding AMH and Follicle Development – Fertility Plus
Fertility Plus shared a post on LinkedIn about a paper by Narelle Hadlow et al. published in Fertility and Sterility:
“Understanding AMH and Follicle Development!
Did you know that only three stages of follicles are responsible for making your Anti-Müllerian Hormone (AMH)?
Here’s a quick breakdown of what happens in the ovaries:
- Tiny resting follicles (minimal AMH production)
- Growing follicles with helper cells
- Larger follicles filled with fluid, ready to release an egg
The journey of AMH is fascinating! It starts at the primary stage, peaks in the middle stages, and declines once the follicle matures.
Understanding these stages can provide vital insights for those undergoing fertility treatments.
Knowledge is power!
