It sounds backwards, but research suggests that women with a low ovarian reserve can still have surprisingly high progesterone levels! 

Why? When ovarian reserve is low, ageing eggs may lose some ability to regulate surrounding granulosa cells. However, stronger stimulation can lead to each remaining follicle producing more progesterone. So, even with fewer follicles, you might see elevated progesterone levels!

Remember, high progesterone isn’t always a bad sign; it might just be your ovary communicating about the biology of your eggs.
