“Fertility awareness starts with knowledge.
On Thursday, we had the pleasure of welcoming around 200 high school students and teachers to Rigshospitalet for a day dedicated to fertility and reproductive health.
Together with colleagues from The Fertility Department – Rigshospitalet and the University of Copenhagen (Københavns Universitet); Lea Bejstrup Jensen, Anna Ronnefeld Veng, and Søren Ziebe from our Laboratory of Reproductive Biology – Rigshospitalet taught the students about:
- female and male fertility,
- reproductive biology,
- and ‘The Difficult Conversation’,
opening up conversations about fertility, lifestyle, age, myths, and the choices that can shape our reproductive futures.
It is not about telling young people when or whether to have children, it is about giving them the knowledge to make informed choices about their own bodies and futures.
A big thank you to all the students, teachers, and colleagues who made the day so engaging and full of curiosity!”
