Andrea Amaroli, Professor at the University of Genoa, shared a post on LinkedIn about a paper he co-authored with colleagues published in Frontiers in Oncology:
”New publication in Frontiers in Oncology
Age and AMH reliably predict mature oocyte yield in cancer patients undergoing oocyte cryopreservation before gonadotoxic treatment.
One finding matters for clinical practice: in hematologic malignancies, substantial underestimation of oocyte yield is nearly 3x more frequent than in solid tumors (31.8% vs 12.6%, p=0.006).
A step forward for more accurate fertility preservation counseling in oncology patients.”
