“In science, we often celebrate visible results.
A fertilized oocyte. A developing embryo. A successful pregnancy.
But behind every visible milestone there is a sequence of biological processes that no one sees.
Working in embryology has reminded me, year after year, that meaningful progress often begins long before there is anything to measure or celebrate.
Perhaps this lesson extends far beyond the IVF laboratory.
In healthcare, in research and even in our own professional development, not every important process produces immediate results.
Sometimes, the most valuable work is happening quietly, before anyone else can see it.
Learning to trust those invisible processes has been one of the greatest lessons of my profession.
