“More thoughts after Day 2 at the AIFertility World Conference…

A lot of focus on advanced embryo imaging, AI-assisted embryo assessment, genetics, automation, and data – tons of data. But some of the most important discussions for me were around what sits behind all of this – regulation, validation and responsible implementation.

I loved the realness and the refreshing view of Christine Allen about the importance of following regulations and how it all can break down like a house of cards if not done correctly right from the beginning.

Another topic that particularly stood out was stress in fertility care by Pauliina Valpas and how we can actually start measuring something that has traditionally been almost invisible.

That all connects strongly with what we’re doing at Medical Navigator. Better technology and better data can tell us much more about the patient journey, but only if we collect and use that data responsibly. There’s a lot for me to take in and to use in our work further on. I’ve definitely taken a lot of notes for myself, and I am looking forward to implementing them.

Innovation in fertility is moving fast, but making sure we implement it properly needs to move just as fast.
