”A Successful IVF Case: Individualized Approach to HLA Compatibility and Embryo Transfer
I would like to share a recent clinical case that highlights the importance of individualized assessment during IVF treatment.
A couple undergoing IVF was found, during the pre-treatment evaluation, to have a high degree of HLA compatibility at the investigated HLA class II loci. (DRB-70%,DQA1-50%,DQB1-50%)
Following the IVF cycle, an embryo that had undergone preimplantation genetic testing (PGT/PGD) was selected for transfer.
A single embryo was transferred in a natural menstrual cycle, with careful monitoring of the patient’s ovulatory cycle and endometrial development.
The result was encouraging: 14 days after embryo transfer, β-hCG testing was positive.”
