Krishitha Sivalingam: Sometimes, Embryos Remind Us Not to Judge Too Soon
Krishitha Sivalingam, Senior embryologist at ISWARYA IVF and PGD, shared on LinkedIn:
”Sometimes, embryos remind us not to judge too soon.
This biopsied embryo didn’t look as promising as I expected just two hours after thawing, particularly in terms of expansion and morphology.
I considered the possibility that it might not recover well, but chose not to give up on it.
Gave it a chance , checked again the next morning, and there she becomes a beautiful hatched embryo giving me a sweet surprise.
A small but powerful reminder that morphology is a snapshot, not the whole story.
Even when an embryo doesn’t immediately look perfect, if it has the potential, sometimes the best thing we can do is simply give it time and a chance.
Embryology teaches us patience, humility, and never to underestimate an embryo’s capacity to surprise us.”
