New Meta-Analysis Suggests Improved PGT Outcomes with Day 5/6 Sequential Hatching and Biopsy – RBMO
Reproductive BioMedicine Online (RBMO) shared a post on LinkedIn about a paper by Yanhe Liu et al.:
“This meta-analysis from Yanhe Liu, Fang Qi, and Roger Hart suggests that the day 5/6 sequential hatching/biopsy approach is associated with potentially improved clinical outcomes following PGT-blastocyst transfer compared with the conventional day 3 AH strategy.
They note, however, that the day 5/6 sequential hatching/biopsy approach was also associated with increased reporting of mosaicism and no-PGT-result.
Although these findings warrant consideration, the absolute rates of mosaicism and no-PGT-result outcomes remain low, potentially with limited clinical implications, and the authors suggest further investigations focus on understanding the biological and technical mechanisms underlying this observation, particularly given the absence of differences in overall euploidy and aneuploidy rates between the two strategies.
Published open access, the full review can be read in full for free from our in-press articles section now.”
