True Friendship and PCOS: Why Emotional Support Matters – PCOS Millennials
PCOS Millennials shared on LinkedIn:
“True friendship isn’t about living the same life. It’s about making room for each other’s journey.
As I reflect on my lifelong friendships, I’m reminded that we don’t have to talk every day or experience the same things to remain connected. Sometimes, a few people who know your story, respect your journey, and are genuinely happy for you are more than enough.
For women living with PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome), this kind of friendship can mean so much.
When your friends have children and your own journey looks different, you can be happy for them while still navigating your own emotions, questions, and hopes for the future.
You don’t need your friends to have PCOS to understand you. You need people who are willing to listen, learn, and support you without judgment.
At PCOS Millennials, we believe that raising PCOS awareness means looking beyond symptoms and fertility. It also means recognizing the emotional well-being, relationships, and support systems that help women feel seen and understood.
I shared a personal reflection on lifelong friendship, emotional support, and why every woman deserves to feel valued, regardless of where she is in life.

You don’t need a hundred friends. Sometimes, a few who genuinely understand and celebrate your journey are enough.
What does true friendship mean to you, especially when life takes you in different directions?”
Resa Nabor, Founder and Community Advocate of PCOS Millennials, shared this post, adding:
“Some friendships don’t need daily conversations to remain meaningful. They survive distance, busy lives, and the years that change us.
For women living with PCOS, having friends who listen without judgment and celebrate our journey, even when it looks different from theirs, can make a world of difference. True friendship isn’t about having the same life. It’s about respecting each other’s paths.
Read my personal reflection on friendship, PCOS, and the beauty of growing through life together.”
