Marina Gvakharia: Future Embryologists, Hands-On With Sperm Science
Marina Gvakharia, Director of ASRM Clinical Embryology Learning Laboratory (“CELL”), shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Week 2 at CELL and we said: ‘all things sperm, no crumbs left.’
We kicked it off hands-on with pig sperm , generously donated by a ‘pure-bred boar’ named ‘DD’. Absolute king behavior. Legacy donor. Carried the curriculum on his back.
DD showed up and said:
‘Let me help future embryologists understand motility, morphology, and why sperm are… a lot.’
And honestly? He delivered. Big educational energy. Iconic contribution to reproductive science. We thank him for his service.
The lab was locked in, vibes were immaculate, questions were flying, neurons were firing, and sperm were… doing sperm things.
As in becoming enthusiastic about a piece of debris on a slide and surrounding it as it were a slay egg!.
And honestly? One of the best parts is watching CELL scholars exchange their own expertise with their fellow CELLmates. Peer-to-peer learning. Big brain energy. Zero gatekeeping. Everyone leveling each other up in real time.
CELL stays undefeated. Science stays slaying.
Vivat academia and long live learning!

American Society for Reproductive Medicine – ASRM shared Marina Gvakharia’s post, adding:
“Amazing things happening at the CELL training lab! Be on the lookout for more info coming soon on how to apply to be in the next cohort!”
