New Insights on ART Use Among TNB Individuals Unveiled – RBMO
Reproductive BioMedicine Online shared a post on LinkedIn about a paper by Ellen Davenport-Pleasance et al. published in RBMO:
“This study investigated the use of assisted reproductive technologies (ARTs) by trans and/or non-binary (TNB) individuals and their partners at, to understand their family-building journeys.
The study by Ellen Davenport-Pleasance and colleagues at London Women’s Clinic, finds TNB individuals and their partners use a range of fertility services, including egg freezing, IUI, IVF, and R-IVF, often with donor sperm, occasionally donor eggs, and surrogacy, as part of their treatment to build their families and demonstrate great tenacity when doing so.
In this 14-year, single centre series, IVF over-performed IUI, underscoring that with inclusive legally informed care pathways, family formation for TNB patients is both feasible and effective.
RBMO subscribers can read the full paper from the Clinical Assisted Reproductive Technology section of our March issue, now.”
