The Role of Intraoperative Ultrasound in Deep Endometriosis Management – ISUOG
ISUOG International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Endometriosis is a complicated and growing health concern that affects approximately 2–3% of females at birth worldwide. Despite advances in imaging, transvaginal ultrasound for deep endometriosis (DE) is prone to limitations, necessitating use of innovative tools, such as intraoperative ultrasound (IO-US), to improve planning and decision-making.
This EndometriosisAwarenessMonth, read more on this topic by checking out the article by Nigdelis et al., which summarises evidence on the use of IO-US in surgery for DE, and its applicability in disease management.
Find the article in the UOGJournal online.”
