Sarah Jager: Student-Led Research Highlights the Urgent Need for Endometriosis Awareness
Sarah Jager, Student at West Michigan Aviation Academy, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“My name is Sarah Jager, and I am a Senior at West Michigan Aviation Academy. I am currently in the final year of a Biomedical Engineering program, which concludes with a self-led capstone research project. The topic I chose is Women’s Health, more specifically, endometriosis.
I would like to draw attention to the need for more research in this field. I have created a survey for patients who have been diagnosed with or suspected to have endometriosis, in order to gather data from real people who suffer from this condition.
I hope that the results will alert both the medical community, as well as the general public, to the impact a disease like endometriosis can have on everyday life. My goal is to generate awareness and motivation to expand research in this field.
The survey, attached below, is confidential and anonymous – every question is optional, so participants can answer as they feel comfortable.
If you or someone you know has been diagnosed or suspects endometriosis, please support my project, and ask them to fill out this survey.”
