Arnab Guha: New Insights into miRNA Therapies for Endometriosis and Depression
Arnab Guha, Founder, Director and Chief Visionary Officer at Impeccable Innovations Pvt. Ltd., shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Endometriosis induces depression in mouse models via miRNA dysregulation, leading to hippocampal shrinkage and reduced neurogenesis.
Targeting specific miRNAs – such as inhibitors for miR-125b and miR-451a, or a let-7b mimic – lowers depressive behaviors in tail suspension tests and restores hippocampal area, alongside upregulated genes like GAD45B, JUNB, ARC, and PROX1.
The findings build on prior research linking miRNAs like let-7b to endometriosis treatment in mice, suggesting potential miRNA-based therapies for alleviating psychological symptoms in affected patients.”
