Farah Ahmed Joins Luminosa London as a Women’s Health GP and Menopause Specialist

“I’m absolutely delighted to share that I have joined Luminosa London at The Medical Chambers Kensington as a Women’s Health GP and Menopause Specialist.

Over the past year, I have had the enormous privilege of training with the eminent Consultant Gynaecologist and Menopause Expert Miss Tania Adib. To now be working alongside her and the wider multidisciplinary team feels incredibly special.

We have plenty of polished, suited-and-booted professional photographs together, but I deliberately chose this selfie. It feels far more representative of the warmth, humanity and approachability that we both value, not only in how we work together, but, most importantly, in the relationships we build with our patients.

My clinics will offer personalised, evidence-based care across a broad range of women’s health concerns, including:

  • Perimenopause and menopause
  • PMS and PMDD
  • PCOS and hormonal concerns
  • Menstrual health disorders
  • Contraception, including coil fitting
  • Vag1nal and intimate health
  • Vulvodynia
  • Menopause care following cancer

Women’s health is rarely straightforward, and women do not always fit neatly into diagnostic boxes. Being able to offer longer appointments, with the time to listen properly, explore the whole picture and agree an individualised plan, is something I value enormously.

This new role will complement my continued NHS clinical work, teaching and advocacy, all of which remain incredibly important to me.

Most of all, I’m excited to continue doing what sits at the heart of everything I do: providing women with compassionate, clinically robust care and helping them feel heard, informed and genuinely supported.
