“Most deaths from postpartum haemorrhage (PPH) are preventable, yet PPH remains one of the leading causes of maternal death worldwide. Solutions already exist.
The challenge now is turning evidence into action.
Drawing on their experience advocating for improved PPH guidelines and care provision in Kenya, Dr Benjamin Odongo Elly and colleagues share practical recommendations to help OBGYN societies strengthen advocacy, influence policy and improve PPH prevention, detection and response.
