Margaret Cali: IVF Prepares the Body, Emotional Readiness Prepares the Woman as a Whole
Margaret Cali, IVF Readiness Integration Strategist, shared on LinkedIn:
“This morning I had the privilege of presenting ‘Steady Before You Start’ for Clare Mansfield and the Flowering Fertility community.
The session focused on three practical areas of emotional readiness before fertility treatment:
- ‘Release’, recognising what a woman may still be carrying from the journey so far.
- ‘Integrate’, noticing the beliefs that may be shaping how she experiences treatment.
- ‘Equip’, beginning to prepare for both possible outcomes with greater support and clarity.
What stayed with me most was how aligned Clare and I are in our belief that emotional support should sit alongside the medical side of fertility care.
Emotional readiness is not about being positive all the time, and it is not about controlling the outcome.
It is about helping a woman enter treatment with greater awareness of what she is carrying, what she needs, and what may help her through it.
I am very grateful to Clare for inviting me to contribute to her community, and I am looking forward to returning to explore ‘Strengthen’, the third phase of The RISE Method.
IVF prepares the body. Emotional readiness prepares the woman as a whole.”
Clare Mansfield, CEO and Founder of Flowering Fertility, shared this post, adding:
“This is exactly why I created Flowering Fertility.
Fertility treatment can focus so heavily on the medical process that the emotional experience of the person going through it is too often left behind.
This week, Margaret Cali joined our Flowering Programme as a guest expert for a powerful session on emotional readiness before treatment – helping women recognise what they may still be carrying, understand what they need and feel better equipped for the journey ahead.
What I especially valued was Margaret’s reminder that emotional readiness is not about staying positive or trying to control the outcome.
It is about entering treatment with greater awareness, clarity and support.
Margaret and I share a deep belief that emotional support should sit alongside medical fertility care as an essential part of the patient journey – not as an optional extra.
Thank you, Margaret, for sharing your expertise so generously with our community. I’m really looking forward to welcoming you back to explore the next phase of your RISE Method.”
Margaret Cali replied:
“Thank you, Clare Mansfield. What struck me most was how much overlap there is in what we each arrived at independently, from different countries and different journeys. Looking forward to Strengthen.”
