Margaret Cali։ What about the Emotional Timeline of IVF Treatment?
Margaret Cali, IVF Readiness Integration Strategist, shared on LinkedIn:
“IVF has a treatment timeline. But what about your emotional timeline?
There’s the lead-up before treatment, and what has happened before.
Then injections and appointments while work and everyday life keep going.
Embryo updates.
The wait after transfer, when it can be hard to think about much else.
Results day.
Across all of it, you might feel hopeful one minute and scared the next.
That doesn’t mean you’re not emotionally ready.
Emotional readiness isn’t about feeling one particular way.
It’s about understanding what helps you feel supported, and recognising that what you need can change as IVF unfolds.
You don’t have to work everything out today.
This is the start of my new series, IVF, One Step at a Time։ The Emotional Side of Treatment.
Over the coming posts, I’ll walk through each stage and explore what it can bring up emotionally.”
