Zuzana Holubcova: 1,000 Items in the eAtlas of Clinical Embryology
Zuzana Holubcova, Research Group Leader and Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine at Masaryk University Brno, shared on LinkedIn:
“1,000 items in the eAtlas of Clinical Embryology!
This milestone is marked by a truly unusual image: Two blastocysts connected through their hatching trophectoderm! Image courtesy of Kholoud Khaled Al Mahdy, included in section 3.1.7.4 of the eAtlas.
The latest additions also include videos documenting blastomere biopsy, removal of cellular fragments, and development of a zona pellucida-free embryo, kindly provided by Tuğberk Kopca.
The eAtlas of Clinical Embryology continues to grow as an open educational resource documenting the remarkable diversity of human oocyte and embryo development as well as ART procedures.

Reaching this milestone is also a great opportunity to thank Reprofit International s.r.o., whose extensive archive has formed the backbone of the eAtlas over the years, and to embryologists from the global IVF community who have enriched the collection with their fascinating images and videos.
Special thanks also to Marek Stehlík from Masaryk University for long-term IT support!
Have you captured something unusual in your IVF laboratory? Contributions are always welcome, with full credit to the authors!”
Kholoud Khaled Al Mahdy, IVF Laboratory Manager and Senior Embryologist at Ekthar Medical Clinics, shared this post, adding:
“Thank you for sharing my embryos to the eAtlas; they are fascinating.”
