Marco Zaccaria: A Breakthrough in Fibroid Treatment with Hysteroscopic Microwave and RF Ablation
Marco Zaccaria, Global Product Manager at ESGE European Society Gynecology Endoscopy, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“I’m proud and excited to share this truly innovative video article, dedicated to the first study focused on interstitial myolysis via microwave and radiofrequency thermal ablation using a hysteroscopic approach
The study was published in Facts, Views and Vision in OBGYN—the official journal of the ESGE – European Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy —confirming the significant scientific interest
this minimally invasive procedure is generating
The video-article presents four clinical cases of patients with uterine fibromatosis and submucosal fibroids: two patients were treated with our HS AMICA microwave system
The results are extremely encouraging: in the treated cases, a clear reduction in fibroid volume was observed after ablation, accompanied by a significant improvement in symptoms,
particularly regarding AUB
