Ahmed Hmida: Patient Safety Should Never Depend on the Number of IVF Cycles Performed
Ahmed Hmida, International Technical and Commercial Director of Medical Technologies at Medico Consult, shared a post on LinkedIn about a paper by Gemma Arroyo et al. published in Human Reproduction:
“Small IVF labs need traceability too!
‘We’re a small IVF lab… we don’t need an advanced management system.’
ESHRE 2026 says otherwise.
The recommendations apply to every IVF laboratory, regardless of its size.
Quality, traceability, SOPs, witnessing and risk management are expected across all laboratories.
Patient safety should never depend on the number of IVF cycles performed.”
