Why Does Female Fertility Decline So Fast – UCSF Health
UCSF Health shared a post on LinkedIn:
“For many years, scientists pointed to declining egg quality as the main culprit in age-related infertility.
But new research finds surrounding cells and tissues also play a key role in how eggs mature and how quickly fertility wanes. ‘Ovarian aging is not just about the egg cells but about their whole ecosystem,’ UCSF Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences’s Diana Laird says.”
