Are Normal-BMI Women with PCOS at Higher Risk of Adverse Obstetric and Perinatal Outcomes After FET? – RBMO
Reproductive BioMedicine Online (RBMO) shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Are polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) women with normal body mass index (BMI) associated with adverse obstetric and perinatal outcomes following frozen embryo transfer (FET)?
The results of this study from Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine show that, among women with a normal BMI, PCOS was not associated with increased risks of adverse perinatal and obstetric outcomes for either singleton or twin deliveries conceived by FET. Based on a study of 707 women with PCOS, the authors say their results would benefit from further large-scale prospective studies to confirm these findings.
