New Lancet Studies Question the Evidence Behind Common IVF Add-Ons – The Lancet Group

The Lancet Group shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Many IVF add-ons are marketed with the promise of improving treatment success. But what does the evidence show?

A new study reviewed 10 common IVF add-ons and found that most have not been proven to improve IVF outcomes — Evidence is often limited, uncertain, or of low quality.

To address the widespread availability of poor-quality information, Dr Sarah Lensen and her team developed the Evidence-based IVF website. A second study found that the website improved patients’ understanding of the benefits, risks, and evidence quality of IVF add-ons.
