Göksu Dirgin: Excited to Have Successfully Completed My Clinical Internship at Eugin Madrid

“Excited to share that I have successfully completed my Clinical Internship at Eugin Madrid, marking the completion of my 3rd Embryology traineeship overall!
I am sincerely grateful to Universitat Pompeu Fabra UPF Barcelona School of Management for providing me with the opportunity to complete this compulsory clinical traineeship at Eugin, an experience that has played a fundamental role in my academic and professional development.
Throughout my traineeship, I actively participated in daily oocyte retrieval procedures, oocyte handling and assessment, oocyte denudation, embryo biopsy observation and assessment, ICSI, embryo transfer procedures, sperm concentration and morphology analysis using the CASA system and Makler chamber, oocyte and embryo cryopreservation, and vitrification and warming using both Kitazato and Vitrolife systems.
In addition to these clinical procedures, I was involved in the laboratory’s daily quality control activities, including equipment preparation and calibration, monitoring incubator gas concentrations and other essential laboratory routines that ensure the highest standards of laboratory performance and patient care.
Alongside this intensive clinical training, I was also completing and successfully defending my Master’s Final Project, making this period both academically and professionally demanding. I am incredibly proud to have successfully completed both my traineeship and my Master’s degree, marking the end of an unforgettable chapter in my journey toward becoming a clinical embryologist.
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to my supervisor, Marisa Lacárcel, for her continuous guidance throughout this experience. I am equally grateful to the entire Embryology Team at Eugin Madrid for welcoming me so warmly, generously sharing their knowledge and taking the time to teach me not only every step of the embryology laboratory workflow but also the small details behind each procedure and quality control process.
Having had the opportunity to experience every stage of the IVF laboratory has been truly invaluable, and I leave Eugin Madrid with far more knowledge, confidence, and motivation than when I arrived. Successfully completing both my traineeship and my Master’s degree is not the end of this journey; it is the beginning!
I am excited to take the next step in my career, continue expanding my expertise through research and clinical practice, and ultimately pursue a PhD while contributing to the future of reproductive medicine and clinical embryology.”
