UCSF Study Reassesses Obstetric Risks Linked to Modern Fertility Treatments
UCSF Center for Reproductive Health shared a post on LinkedIn about a paper by David Huang et al. published in AJOG:
“New Research from UCSF Fertility Experts
A large prospective study led by David Huang, MD, and Marcelle Cedars, MD, reexamines obstetric risks associated with modern fertility treatments, accounting for underlying infertility and maternal health factors. The findings suggest that the IVF process itself, not just underlying infertility, may influence placental development, highlighting the need for thoughtful patient counseling and continued research to reduce pregnancy risks associated with IVF.
