AI-Assisted Imaging
Machine-learning systems can analyze medical images and help identify patterns that may be difficult to recognize manually.
Advanced Visualization
Enhanced imaging and fluorescence-guided techniques are being investigated to help surgeons distinguish tissues, lesions, blood vessels, and other structures during procedures.
Augmented Reality and 3D Navigation
Patient-specific 3D models and AR systems could help surgeons visualize anatomy beyond a traditional 2D screen.
Robotic Surgery
Robotic platforms can provide magnified, high-definition views and precise instrument control, particularly during minimally invasive procedures.
The Emerging Frontier: Seeing Biology, Not Just Anatomy
