Emilio Gomez Sanchez: Exploring the Presence of Microplastics in Human Semen
Emilio Gomez Sanchez, Head Embryologist and Scientific Coordinator at Gametia at Next Clinics, shared a post on LinkedIn about a paper he co-authored with colleagues published in the Microchemical Journal:
“Happy to share our latest research, just published in Microchemical Journal, exploring the presence of microplastics in human semen.
Our findings raise important questions about human exposure to microplastics. However, this is only an initial step.
Larger studies and improved analytical approaches are needed to better understand their potential implications for reproductive health.
Many thanks to all colleagues at the University of Murcia, Next Fertility Murcia and Gametia involved in this work. It is another example of how collaboration can lead to meaningful research and tangible results.”
