Paola Fasola: The Sound of Science and the Pulse of Humanity at the 5th Narture International Summit

”The Sound of Science. The Pulse of Humanity.
As I return from the 5th edition of narture – International Summit on Reproductive Medicine, I find myself reflecting not only on the science we shared, but on the people who made it resonate.
Over three extraordinary days in Rome (18-20 September), hundreds of clinicians, researchers and experts came together to explore the future of reproductive medicine through the lens of our 2026 theme ‘The Sound of Science’, a concept built on the idea that scientific progress begins with questions, grows through dialogue, and gains value when ideas are expressed, heard, challenged and shared.
I feel deeply grateful to the exceptional Scientific Board whose vision, commitment and intellectual leadership shaped a truly outstanding program – Catherine Racowsky, Valerie Baker, Peter Humaidan, Richard Anderson, Anis Feki, Laura Rienzi and Baris Ata.
Their work created a scientific journey that inspired us to challenge current paradigms, embrace innovation, engage in meaningful interaction and look forward to new impulses that will shape the future of ART.
My sincere thanks also go to the remarkable faculty members who generously shared their expertise, experience and vision. The quality of the discussions reminded us that the most valuable scientific meetings are not those where knowledge is simply presented, but those where knowledge is exchanged.
What I take home from Nature goes beyond the lectures.
- I take home the privilege of witnessing genuine scientific curiosity.
- I take home the power of open dialogue among diverse perspectives.
- I take home the human connections built between colleagues, friends and future collaborators.
Most importantly, I take home the belief that reproductive medicine advances most effectively when the sound of our thoughts meets the pulse of our hearts. Because behind every dataset, every innovation and every clinical decision there are people, aspirations, hope, and ultimately the heartbeat of a new life.
As a Medical Affairs professional, having the opportunity to organize this event alongside the incredible team at IBSA Group – Salvatore Cincotti, Mauro A. Ninci, Silvia Sebastiani, Claudio Lezzi, Paola Quagliucci, Joel Formisano Garriga, Diana Bellotti, Edoardo Paglione, Linda Lamberti, Anna Alinari Vannetti- has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my professional journey.
The conversations started in Rome will continue. The ideas will keep travelling. And together, as a scientific community, we will continue shaping the future of ART.
Because when science and human experience resonate together, progress becomes possible.”
