RCOG Spotlights Gynaecological Health Gaps in Low- and Middle-Income Countries
Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists | RCOG shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Gynaecological health matters throughout the life course. Yet for many women and girls particularly in low‑ and middle‑income countries it remains significantly under‑prioritised.
Non‑cancerous gynaecological conditions account for more years lived with disability for women aged 15–49 than malaria, TB and HIV/AIDS combined. Despite this burden, access to timely, high‑quality care is still limited.
The RCOG’s Gynaecological Health Matters (GHM) programme is addressing this gap by strengthening health systems, improving early detection and management, and training frontline providers through our Essential Gynaecological Skills course.
