Infertility or Endometriosis Could Be Linked to a Higher Risk of Early Menopause – SOGC
The Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada (SOGC) shared a post on LinkedIn:
“SOGC member and menopause specialist Dr. Michelle Jacobson was featured in a recent Global News story examining new research on the relationship between endometriosis, infertility and the risk of earlier menopause.
The study, published by The Menopause Society, found that women with endometriosis or unexplained infertility may be more likely to experience menopause before age 45. Dr. Jacobson welcomed the research, noting that it contributes to a growing body of evidence helping women better understand their reproductive health.
She emphasized the importance of continued research into women’s health conditions, calling every new study ‘a win for women’ as it helps spark important conversations about advancing women’s health.
