Understanding PGT-A Results – Fertility Plus
Fertility Plus shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Understanding PGT-A Results
Euploid Embryo: Normal chromosome number (46). Highest chance of implantation and healthy pregnancy.
Low Mosaic Embryo: Mostly normal cells with a small number of abnormal cells. Some can still lead to healthy babies.
High Mosaic Embryo: Larger proportion of abnormal cells. Lower implantation rates and higher miscarriage risk.
Polyploid Embryo: Entire extra sets of chromosomes present. Usually not compatible with healthy development.
Aneuploid Embryo: Missing or extra chromosomes. Often associated with failed implantation or miscarriage.
Complex Aneuploid Embryo: Multiple chromosome abnormalities at once. Very low chance of viable pregnancy.
PGT-A is a screening tool that helps estimate embryo chromosomal health, but it does not guarantee pregnancy outcomes.”
