Breaking the Silence on Uterine Fibroids – The Fibroid Foundation
The Fibroid Foundation shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Last week, our founder Sateria Venable had the honor of attending the ‘Breaking the Silence about Uterine Fibroids’ Conference at Cambridge Homerton alongside advocates, researchers, providers, and policymakers from across the UK, USA, and Europe.
Organized by the Fibroids Free team led by Dr. Patricia Day-Walsh, Lord Simon Woolley, and former EU Representative Samira Rafaela, the conference highlighted the power of patient voices, innovative approaches to care, and the urgent need for continued policy and legislative progress in women’s health.
Following the conference, the Fibroid Foundation traveled to London to connect with alliance partners and women’s health leaders to discuss lessons from both the US and UK healthcare systems and how they impact fibroid research, treatment advancements, patient care, and patients’ lived experiences.
We are especially grateful to Lord Simon Woolley and all of the Fibroids free team for helping make these important conversations possible and for their commitment to advancing solutions for uterine fibroids.”
