HQIP Webinar Explores Maternity Inequalities During Clinical Audit Awareness Week – RCOG

“To mark Clinical Audit Awareness Week, the Healthcare Quality Improvement Partnership (HQIP) is running a programme of free webinars exploring how data-driven insight can transform patient care.

On Tuesday 23 June, George Dunn from the RCOG will be joining a discussion on maternity and healthcare inequalities, sharing insights as Project Lead for the National Maternity and Perinatal Audit (NMPA).

“On Tuesday 23 June, from 2–3pm, as part of Clinical Audit Awareness Week CAAW26, we’re hosting a free online webinar focused on maternity care and the inequities experienced within the system.

Additional speakers have now been added:

  • Wendy Olayiwola National Maternity Lead for Equality, NHS England, talking about her work to drive the national agenda to reduce disparities and improve outcomes in maternity and neonatal services across England.
  • Sarah Fisher, Women’s Health Advocate and Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) Advisor, also now joins George Dunn, Project Lead for the National Maternity and Perinatal Audit, talking about their work with their Women and Families Involvement Group and how they impact the audit.
  • The session will also feature a panel discussion with MBRRACE-UK’s representative Nicky Vousden and four members from Healthcare Quality Improvement Partnership (HQIP)’s Service User Network will share lived experience as parents and in their wider advocacy work.
