The Difference Between Ovulation Induction and Ovarian Stimulation – Fertility Plus
Fertility Plus shared on LinkedIn:
“Ovulation Induction and Ovarian Stimulation – The Difference.
Understanding the difference between ovulation induction and ovarian stimulation is key to fertility treatment!
- Ovulation Induction: Aimed at women who aren’t ovulating normally, this process focuses on restoring ovulation by developing one dominant follicle. Treatments may include letrozole, clomifene, or gonadotrophins, with a gentle approach to stimulate the ovaries.
- Ovarian Stimulation: Typically for women who already ovulate, this technique encourages the growth of multiple follicles. Whether for IUI or IVF, the goal is to collect several mature eggs to increase the chances of conception.
Remember:
- Ovulation Induction – Make anovulatory ovaries ovulate (preferably one follicle).
- Ovarian Stimulation – Develop several follicles for IUI or IVF.
Let’s empower our journey to parenthood together!”
